The music video for “Caskets” will be a black and white visual painting where Njomza will walk through a world of chaos that has been suspended in slow motion. In slow motion all around Njomza we will see people in moments of distress, fights, Car Accidents, Ambulances, people running away from their problems etc.
The slow-motion approach will turn Njomaza into a transient figure that isn’t being affected by the suspension of time. Njomza makes her way through the crowd of chaos to eventually reveal a burning casket. The floor around the casket is filled w/ freeze frames/photosof the different people that Njomza encountered on her walk. These quick snap shots of these peoples lives represent memories created that are often forgotten amongst all our crazy lives.
Technique:
We will shoot the majority of this video on Phantom Camera which shoots 1000 frames/second. Once it’s put to slow motion 5 seconds of recording time unfolds into a 3.5-minutes worth of footage.
